Ingredients
8 oz. flank steak, sliced against the grain
8 oz. lo mein noodles or spaghetti noodles
1 tbsp olive oil
3 c. broccoli florets
3 garlic cloves, minced
1 medium carrot, shredded
2 tbsp hoisin sauce
¼ c. packed brown sugar
¼ c. reduced-sodium soy sauce
2 tsp sesame oil
¼ tsp pepper
¼ tsp ground ginger
¼ tsp crushed red pepper flakes
HOW TO MAKE 20-MINUTE GARLIC BEEF AND BROCCOLI LO MEIN
Step 1: Following the package directions, cook the noodles. During the last 5 minutes of cooking, add the broccoli. Once done, drain the noodles and broccoli.
Step 2: Across the grain, slice the flank steak into 1/4-inch strips.
Step 3: Meanwhile, heat the olive oil in a medium-sized skillet. Add the steak and cook until browned. Next, add the garlic and carrots. Continue to cook for another minute.
Step 4: Place the brown sugar soy sauce, hoisin sauce, sesame oil, ginger, red pepper, and pepper in a small bowl. Mix well until blended.
Step 5: To the skillet, add the spaghetti. On top, pour the sauce and toss until coated.
