5-Ingredient Cheeseburger Macaroni Casserole

This Cheeseburger Macaroni Casserole is a staple at home. This is a repeat of our menu rotation. To make this casserole, all you need are just five simple ingredients. If you are looking for a budget-friendly, easy dinner, this casserole is a must!

This ground beef casserole is very comforting. My entire family loves this casserole for good reasons. Throw this casserole together in a cinch and enjoy a satisfying meal that your family will surely ask for over and over again!

I usually divide the casserole into two separate containers and freeze the other for later. You can never go wrong with this casserole. It’s already a complete meal by itself, but you can also pair this with a simple light salad on the side if desired.

Ingredients

1 lb. ground beef

2 (14.5 oz.) cans of Italian-style diced tomatoes

2 (8 oz.) packages of cream cheese, softened

1 (8 oz.) package of elbow macaroni

2 c. shredded Cheddar cheese

salt and ground black pepper to taste

How to make 5-Ingredient Cheeseburger Macaroni Casserole

Ready the oven to 350 degrees F or 175 degrees C.

Following the package directions, cook the elbow macaroni in a large pot of salted boiling water over high heat until al dente. Drain when done and rinse under cold water.

Cook the beef in a large skillet over medium-high heat for about 5 to 7 minutes until browned. Then, remove any excess grease. Return the meat to the skillet and add the tomatoes. To taste, season with salt and pepper. Continue to cook for another 5 minutes.

Into a greased casserole dish, transfer the beef mixture. On top, place the elbow macaroni, then evenly spread the cream cheese on top. Then, sprinkle with cheddar cheese.

Place in the preheated oven and bake for about 45 minutes or until the cheese has melted.

When done, remove the casserole from the oven and serve right away. Enjoy!
