1 c. Caesar salad dressing
4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
½ c. sour cream (optional)
½ tsp freshly ground black pepper
How to make Baked Caesar Chicken
Step 1: Prepare the oven. Preheat it to 375 degrees F. Using a nonstick spray, grease the inside of an 8×11½-inch baking pan.
Step 2: In a ziplock, place the chicken and pound on a flat surface using a meat pounder to an even ¾-1-inch thickness.
Step 3: Then, sprinkle both sides of the chicken breasts with a cup of grated cheese and freshly ground black pepper. In the prepared baking dish, place the chicken.
Step 4: In a small bowl, combine the Caesar dressing and sour cream. Over each breast, pour the Caesar/sour cream mixture and sprinkle with the rest of the grated Parmesan cheese.
Step 5: Bake in the preheated oven for about 30 minutes until the internal temperature of the thickest part of the center of the breasts reaches 150 degrees F.
Step 6: Broil the breasts for 2 to 4 minutes until golden brown. A meat thermometer should read 165 degrees F when done.
Step 7: Take the dish out of the oven and loosely tent the chicken with foil. Before serving, let the chicken rest for 5 to 10 minutes.
Step 8: Serve garnished with some chopped parsley if desired. Enjoy!
Tips:
Make sure not to season the chicken with salt.
If the sauce curdles, mix 1 tbsp all-purpose flour into the dressing/sour cream mixture before adding it to the chicken.
In an airtight container, keep the baked Caesar chicken and store it in the fridge for up to
3 days.
