I love how these baked chicken breasts always come out tender, juicy, and flavorful. This is an easy and quick chicken recipe that you can prep in under 5 minutes and bake in another 18 minutes. This is also great for meal prep. You can store any leftovers in the fridge or freezer.

Ingredients

2 tbsp extra virgin olive oil

2 lbs boneless, skinless chicken breasts about 4 medium size breasts

1/2 tsp onion powder

1/2 tsp garlic powder

1/2 tsp paprika or chili powder

1 tsp kosher salt

1/2 tsp black pepper

How to make Baked Chicken Breasts

Prepare the oven. Preheat it to 450 degrees.

Lightly pound the chicken breasts to an even thickness.

In a 13 x 9-inch baking dish, pour the olive oil. Lay the lightly coated (with oil) chicken side by side in the prepared baking dish.

Combine the salt, pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, and chili powder (or paprika) in a small bowl. On both sides of the chicken, sprinkle the seasoning mixture, rubbing it with your hands. Arrange the chicken side by side, ensuring not to overlap of the pieces.

Place in the preheated oven and bake for about 15 to 20 minutes or until the juices are clear and the internal temperature of the chicken reaches 160-170 degrees.

Tent with foil and let the chicken rest for about 5-10 minutes before slicing.

Serve the baked chicken breasts immediately. Enjoy!

Notes:

In an airtight container, keep any leftover chicken breasts and store them in the fridge for up to 4 days.

You can also keep the chicken breasts in the freezer. Let it cool completely before placing it in an airtight container. Freeze for up to 6 months. Make sure to individually wrap each chicken breast in wax paper.
