Bananas Foster French Toast Casserole

These bananas foster French toast casserole is the ultimate breakfast casserole! Super easy to whip up and mouthwatering. I like to serve this hot, topped with a big scoop of vanilla ice cream. This breakfast casserole is like dessert in the morning!

Ingredients

3 Large Eggs

1 tbsp All Purpose Flour

½ c. Heavy Cream

2 (8 Count Each) Tubes of Cinnamon Rolls

2 tsp Vanilla Extract

2 tsp Cinnamon

SAUCE:

1 c. Brown Sugar

1 Stick ½ c. Butter

1 tsp Vanilla Extract

⅓ c. Chopped Pecans

½ tsp Cinnamon

5 Bananas Sliced Into Rounds

Vanilla Ice Cream For Serving, Optional

¼ tsp Salt

How to make Bananas Foster French Toast Casserole

Step 1: Prepare the oven. Preheat it to 375 degrees. Using butter, grease a 9 x 13-inch baking dish. Set aside.

Step 2: Into 8 rolls per tube, separate the cinnamon rolls and cut each into 6 pieces. In an even layer, arrange the rolls in the prepared baking dish.

Step 3: Place the cream, eggs, flour, cinnamon, and vanilla in a large bowl. Mix well until blended. Then, pour this on top of the rolls.

Step 4: Put in the preheated oven and bake for about 25 to 30 minutes or until completely cooked and golden.

Step 5: In the last 10 to 15 minutes of baking, prepare the sauce.

SAUCE:

Step 6: In a medium saucepan, melt the butter over medium heat. Once melted, stir in the brown sugar, vanilla, cinnamon, and salt. Bring the mixture to a bubble while stirring.

Step 7: Add the sliced bananas along with the chopped pecans. Continue to cook for another 1 to 2 minutes while stirring gently until heated through.

Step 8: Over the cooked casserole, evenly pour the sauce.

Step 9: If desired, top the casserole with ice cream and serve right away. Enjoy!

Note:

If desired, you can use milk or half-and-half.
