Ready in twenty minutes – this zesty one-pan meal loaded with shrimp, sausage, and veggies flavored with Cajun seasoning is hard to miss!

For best results, do not marinate the shrimp for more than 30 minutes, or it will break down the delicate shrimp meat. Also, make sure not to overcook the shrimp, or they will be rubbery. Once the shrimp curls up into a C, the shrimps are just perfect!

I like topping my Keto Cajun Shrimp and Sausage with lime and pepper flakes for extra zest and a bit of kick.

Ingredients

1 pound Smoked Cooked Chicken Sausage such as andouille

½ pound Shrimp, peeled and deveined

1 tablespoon Olive Oil

½ c. Sliced Red Onion

1 c. Sliced Yellow Bell Pepper

1 c. Sliced Red Bell Pepper

1 teaspoon Minced Garlic

1 tablespoon Chopped Parsley

¼ c. Chicken Broth

2 teaspoons Lemon Juice

Salt and pepper to taste

2 teaspoons Cajun Seasoning or more to taste

How to make Cajun Shrimp Sausage Skillet

Step 1: In a large pan, heat the olive oil on medium-high heat.

Step 2: Once hot, add the onion and bell peppers. Saute for about 4 to 5 minutes or until tender. Then, toss in the garlic and continue to cook for another 30 seconds.

Step 3: To taste, season the vegetables. Take the pan off the heat and keep the veggies warm.

Step 4: To the pan, add the shrimp and sausage. Then, sprinkle with Cajun seasoning and season with salt and pepper.

Step 5: Cook the shrimp for about 3 to 4 minutes or until pink and opaque and the sausage is heated through. Return the veggies to the pan.

Step 6: Pour in the chicken broth and add the lemon juice. Stir well and let everything simmer for about 2 to 3 minutes.

Step 7: Before serving, garnish the Cajun Shrimp Sausage Skillet with some parsley. Enjoy!
