Ingredients
4 large egg whites
vegetable oil, for frying
1 lb chicken breast, cut into 1-inch thin chunks
1/4 c. honey
1/2 c. mayonnaise
2 tbsp sweetened condensed milk
3/4 c. cornstarch (or Mochiko Sweet Rice Flour)
1/3 c. water
How to make Chinese Honey Chicken
Step 1: Whisk the egg whites in a large bowl for about 1 to 2 minutes until foamy. Then, stir in the cornstarch and water until well blended. Next, fold in the chicken.
Step 2: In a large pot, heat three inches of oil to 350 degrees over medium-high heat. Once hot, add the chicken pieces in batches and fry for about 2 to 3 minutes or until golden brown.
Step 3: Place the mayonnaise, honey, and sweetened condensed milk in a large bowl. Mix well until combined. Just before serving, toss the fried chicken into the mixture.
