How to make Crispy Honey Lemon Chicken
Step 1: Place the chicken thighs and cornstarch in a large bowl or ziplock bag. Close and massage the chicken so every piece is coated. Set aside.
Step 2: Into a bowl, place the sauce ingredients. Mix well and set aside.
Step 3: Into a large pan, heat the vegetable oil over medium-high heat. To the hot oil, add the chicken and cook over medium-high heat until golden and crispy.
Step 4: Set the chicken aside when done and reserve 1 tbsp of oil in the pan, then discard the remaining.
Step 5: In the same pan, saute the garlic, ginger, and red pepper flakes for about 30 seconds over low heat until aromatic. Make sure to stir constantly to prevent the garlic and red pepper flakes from burning.
Step 6: Return the chicken to the pan and toss well to coat.
Step 7: Before adding the sauce to the pan, give it a quick stir.
Step 8: Toss well to coat the chicken until the sauce has thickened. This takes about 30 seconds to a minute.
