This is loaded with delicious flavors! This Gumbo has an amazing combination of sausage, chicken, and shrimp with Cajun spices. Incredibly easy to whip and ready in under thirty minutes. This slow cooker recipe is a must and no doubt for keeps!

I love Gumbo. It’s a versatile dish. You can throw any available ingredients into the slow cooker. No hard rules about the quantities. Serve this delicious Gumbo with Sausage, Chicken, and Shrimp over rice for a filling dinner excellent for everyone!

This Gumbo is hearty, loaded with mouthwatering flavors, and inexpensive. It’s a very comforting meal that you can easily throw together in your slow cooker. This recipe is basically almost hands-free, making this perfect for a no-fuss weeknight dinner!

Ingredients

1 pound Smoked Sausage kielbasa, farmers sausage, garlic sausage, etc

1 pound Chicken Breast cut into bite-size pieces

1 pound Shrimp, raw and shells removed (I left tails on for more flavor)

1 Green pepper, diced

1 Onion, diced

1 Hot pepper (jalapeno, Serrano, scotch bonnet, Habanero, etc)

3 ribs Celery, diced

3 tsp Garlic, minced

28 ounces Diced Tomatoes

2 cups Chicken Broth

1 tbsp Cajun seasoning or more if you prefer

1 ⅓ cups Rice cooked

1 tsp Thyme

1 tsp Oregano

How to make Crockpot Gumbo Recipe with Sausage, Chicken, and Shrimp

Step 1: In a slow cooker, mix all the ingredients except the shrimp and rice.

Step 2: Cover and set to cook for 6 to 7 hours on low, stirring often.

Step 3: Lightly sprinkle the shrimp with salt and add them to the crockpot in the last hour of cooking.

Step 4: Stir in the rice in the last half hour of cooking. Then, put the lid back on until the rice has warmed through.

Step 5: Serve the Gumbo immediately with crusty bread. Enjoy!
