EASY GERMAN CHOCOLATE CAKE COOKIES

Whip these easy German chocolate cake, cookies up all year round. Throw this together using just a couple of simple ingredients and enjoy a munch-worthy cookie that everyone will love. I love a sweet cookie any time of the day. These German chocolate cake, cookies have a subtle hint of coconut and a crunch of pecans which I am obsessed with! I always whip up a huge batch because these cookies, fry out super fast!

These cookies are one of the easiest cookie recipes. A bite-size version of my fave German chocolate cake. Keep these cookies in an airtight container for up to 4 to 5 days at room temperature. Or freeze for up to 3 months in a freezer-safe container.

Ingredients

½ c. unsweetened cocoa powder

1 tsp baking soda

2 ¼ c. all-purpose flour

1 c. butter, softened

2 large eggs, lightly beaten

1 c. light brown sugar, packed

1 c. white sugar

2 tsp vanilla extract

1 pinch of sea salt

1 c. pecans, chopped

1 c. semisweet chocolate chunks

1 c. sweetened shredded coconut

HOW TO MAKE EASY GERMAN CHOCOLATE CAKE COOKIES

Ready the oven. Preheat it to 190 degrees C or 375 degrees F.

Using parchment paper, line the baking sheets.

Place the cocoa powder, baking soda, flour, and salt in a medium mixing bowl. Mix well until combined.

Place the eggs, butter, vanilla extract, white sugar, and brown sugar in a different mixing bowl. Using an electric mixer, beat the ingredients well until fluffy.

Into the butter mixture, slowly add the flour mixture, beating well until blended. Then, fold in the chocolate chunks, pecans, and coconut.

Onto the prepared baking sheets, scoop the cookie dough. Then, bake in the preheated oven for about 8 to 10 minutes or until completely cooked.

Before serving, allow the cookies to cool. Enjoy!
