4 minutes spicy garlic shrimp

This spicy garlic shrimp only takes minutes to throw together using just simple ingredients you’ll find in your pantry. Packed with amazing and bold flavors, I’m sure your family will love every bite of this delicious spicy garlic shrimp!

You’ll never find any excuse not to make this recipe. It’s easy, quick, and uses simple ingredients. Serve this spicy garlic shrimp with zuddles and your favorite wine for an intimate dinner for two.

INGREDIENTS

3 tablespoons unsalted butter

10 cloves garlic, chopped

2 tablespoons oyster sauce

1 tablespoon honey

1/4 teaspoon black pepper

2 pounds peeled and deveined 31/40 shrimp

2 tablespoons chili oil with chili flakes Lao Gan Ma (if using regular chili oil, add 1 1/2 tablespoons of chili flakes)

1 tablespoon Shaoxing wine, rice wine, or white wine (use water instead if you don’t want to use alcohol)

3 green onions, chopped

a handful of cilantro, roughly chopped

lemon or lime wedge

fried shallot or French onion for garnish

1 red or green chili, sliced (optional)

How to make 4 minutes spicy garlic shrimp

Step 1: In a small mixing bowl, place the oyster sauce, honey, and chili oil with chili flakes and black pepper. Mix well until blended and set aside.

Step 2: Melt the butter in a large skillet over high heat. Once melted and bubbling, add the garlic and cook for about a minute until the edges of the garlic are lightly golden.

Step 3: Quickly toss in the shrimp. Add the wine and deglaze the skillet. Pour in the sauce mixture and stir well. Turn the heat off. Make sure to cook the shrimp for not more than 2 minutes.

Step 4: Stir in the chopped green onion, chili, and cilantro. Serve right away garnished with some fried shallots. Enjoy with lemon or lime wedges on the side!

To make an amazing meal, toss the spicy garlic shrimp with linguini, spaghetti, or zuddles.
