30 chicken wings
Rub:
1 tsp smoked paprika
1 tsp garlic powder
1 tsp salt
1/4 tsp black pepper
Honey Garlic Sauce:
4 cloves garlic (minced)
1/4 c. soy sauce
1/2 c. honey
3/4 c. water
2 tbsp Mirin
1 tbsp sesame oil
1 tbsp minced ginger
1 tbsp cornstarch
1/4 tsp red pepper flakes (optional)
How to make Honey Garlic Chicken Wings
Step 1: Prepare the oven. Preheat it to 425 degrees F.
Step 2: Using paper towels, pat dries the wings completely.
Step 3: In a large bowl, place the rub ingredients. Mix well, then toss the wings and brush with olive oil.
Step 4: Using foil, line a baking sheet, then with parchment paper. In one layer, arrange the chicken wings. You can use two baking sheets if needed. Place in the preheated oven and bake for about 35 minutes, flipping the wings at 20 minutes.
Step 5: To make the Honey Garlic Sauce, whisk the sauce ingredients in a small pan over medium heat. Bring the sauce to a boil. Once boiling, decrease the heat and simmer for about 10 minutes or until slightly thickened and the sauce coats the back of a spoon.
Step 6: Remove the wings from the oven and toss them with the sauce. Place the dish back into the oven and bake for additional 10 minutes, turning the wings after 5 minutes. Then, broil the wings for a couple of minutes.
Step 7: Let the wings cool for about 10 minutes, stirring the wings every couple of minutes to coat them in the sauce.
Step 8: Serve the Honey Garlic Chicken Wings with your preferred dipping sauce. If desired, garnish with some sesame seeds. Enjoy!
