This recipe is my favorite to cook chicken thighs. A foolproof recipe that guarantees the juiciest and crispiest chicken thighs! It’s incredibly simple to prepare. The chicken thighs are marinated in a simple marinade for at least 30 minutes. If time permits, I suggest marinating longer so the marinade coats the chicken inside and out. The marinade uses readily available ingredients. And the combination of Worcestershire sauce and maple syrup adds sweetness, extra flavor, and balance. The bold, deep, and complex flavor of the marinade that clothed the perfectly succulent chicken will blow you away!

Ingredients

2 tablespoons olive oil

6 cloves garlic (minced)

8 bone-in, skin-on chicken thighs (about 4 pounds)

1 tablespoon sesame oil

2 tablespoons lemon juice (or lime juice)

5 tablespoons maple syrup (or honey)

½ teaspoon black pepper (freshly ground)

2 teaspoon kosher salt (plus more to taste)

4 tablespoons low-sodium soy sauce

1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce

How to make Killer Chicken Thigh Marinade

Step 1: In a large bowl, whisk the marinade ingredients. Or you can place them in a plastic ziplock bag and shake them to mix. To the marinade, add the chicken. Toss well to make sure every piece is evenly coated. Place in the fridge to marinate for at least 30 minutes up to 2 hours or preferably overnight.

Step 2: Prepare the oven. Preheat it to 450 degrees F.

Step 3: In a baking dish, arrange the chicken, and skin side up. Place in the preheated oven and bake for about 25 to 30 minutes or until the internal temperature of the chicken reaches 165 degrees F. Baste the chicken thighs in the juices and marinade about 15 to 20 minutes into baking to make sure the chicken tops do not dry out and brown nicely.

Step 4: Broil the chicken thighs for 2 to 3 minutes, crisped side up to get them nicely browned.
