I love this ravioli lasagna! It’s made with frozen ravioli instead of traditional lasagna noodles. This gooey, cheesy ravioli lasagna bake is a delicious twist to the usual lasagna!

INGREDIENTS

1 small onion, diced

1 lb. ground beef

24 oz. marinara

3 cloves garlic, minced

¼ c. Parmesan cheese

2 c. ricotta cheese

1 large egg

1 tsp garlic powder

25 oz. frozen cheese ravioli

½ tsp onion powder

2 c. shredded mozzarella

minced parsley for garnish

¼ c. chopped parsley

HOW TO MAKE RAVIOLI LASAGNA

Step 1: Prepare the oven. Preheat it to 350 degrees. Using a non-stick spray, grease a 13 x 9-inch baking dish.

Step 2: Add the ground beef and onion in a hot large skillet over medium heat. Cook until the meat is browned, breaking into chunks as it cooks. Then, drain the excess grease from the pan.

Step 3: To the meat and onion, add the marinara sauce and let it simmer for about 5 minutes over low heat, stirring often.

Step 4: In a small bowl, combine the ricotta, egg, Parmesan, parsley, garlic powder, and onion powder.

Step 5: Into the prepared baking dish, spoon 1/3 of the meat mixture, spreading it across the bottom. Create a single layer of ravioli on top, followed by half of the ricotta mixture and 1/3 of the sauce. Do the same layers, ending in marinara sauce.

Step 6: On top, sprinkle the shredded mozzarella. Tightly tent with foil and place in the preheated oven. Bake for about 40 minutes. Uncover and bake for another 10 minutes.

Step 7: Take the lasagna out of the oven and sprinkle it with minced parsley. Before slicing, allow the lasagna to sit for about 10 minutes.

NOTES:

If desired, you can use cottage cheese in place of ricotta.

In this recipe, you are welcome to use any variety of frozen ravioli that you prefer.
