This tater tot casserole is the best! This has delicious layers of ground beef, cheese, and tater tots. It’s an amazing dinner option made with simple ingredients that is ready in a cinch!
This casserole has been a repeat at home. My kids are obsessed! It’s an easy and quick weeknight meal, excellent for the whole family! It’s an impressive casserole that is hard to resist!
Ingredients
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 pound lean ground beef (the leaner the better)
1/2 onion, diced
1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
10.75 ounces can condensed cream of mushroom soup
15 ounces can of green beans, drained
2 c. shredded cheddar cheese
salt and pepper to taste
2 c. frozen tater tots
How to make The BEST Tater Tot Casserole
Step 1: Prepare the oven. Preheat it to 375 degrees F. Using cooking spray, lightly grease an 8 or 9-inch baking dish and set aside.
Step 2: In a large skillet over medium-high heat, cook the ground beef until browned. Drain the excess grease.
Step 3: Toss in the onions and saute until translucent. This takes about 4 to 5 minutes. Next, add the garlic and cook for another minute, stirring often.
Step 4: Add the Worcestershire sauce. To taste, season with salt and pepper. Stir well.
Step 5: Into the prepared baking dish, transfer the ground beef mixture, evenly spreading it. On top, pour the cream of mushroom soup, then add the green beans and cheddar cheese. Do not forget to season the green bean layer.
Step 6: On top, scatter the tater tots.
Step 7: Place in the preheated oven and bake for about 35 to 40 minutes or until the cheese has melted and the tater tots are golden brown.
Step 8: Remove from the oven when done and serve the casserole right away. Enjoy!
